Third Annual General Meeting and Lunch Function

國際郭林氣功文化研究會(澳洲分會)日前假悉尼 Thornleigh 大華海鮮酒家舉行該會第三屆會員周年大會暨午宴，有近七十位會員出席，氣氛熱鬧。

當日中午十二時由司儀兼該會秘書劉若山宣佈周年大會開始及歡迎嘉賓，首先由會長梁德全致歡迎詞，多謝新舊會友支持會務，賀他們藉練功得以改善健康，隨後作會務報告，該會除在 Cumberland State Forest及 Epping Boronia Park 設有練功班外，每月一次在 Cumberland樹林舉行的抗癌樂園活動包括醫理及健康講座等深受會員歡迎，過去一年亦有為更生會會員主辦過兩個練功班；梁會長由創會至今已任了三年會長，現時會務已上軌道，認為是適當時候卸下會長一職，由繼任人領導本會邁向未來。梁德全即成為名譽會長並保持理事身份。

繼着是財務理事鍾美玲作上年度的財務報告，劉若山宣佈新一屆理事選舉結果及安排，新會長何乃燊談新一年工作展望及多謝全體理事支持他，會長助理陳陸淑英宣佈「招募義務工作人員運動」詳情，劉若山再解釋籌募培訓經費的重要性及鼓勵大家支持募捐活動。周年大會完結前何乃燊頒送委任狀給吳賢益醫師和馬德嫻醫師，並致謝兩位續任該會的義務醫學顧問，為期三年。

該會首次舉辦的「三整生日會」環節,在是日午宴中同時舉行，是為確診癌症三年以上的會友，慶祝抗癌勝利而特設的；共有九位會友符合資格成為該生日會的主角，接受大家的恭賀，並各獲贈「生日禮物」紀念品乙份；大會更設有生日蛋糕，由新舊會長與抗癌英雄共切蛋糕，場面熱鬧温罄；接着是生日會會友合照、新一屆理事和工作人員大合照和獎品豐富的幸運大抽獎。當日有嘉賓、理事及會友熱烈支持募捐活動，為該會籌獲千多元培訓經費。午宴在一片鼓掌聲中結束。

Our 3rd Annual General Meeting and Lunch function was held on 24/11/2012 at the Lee Central Park Chinese Restaurant, Thornleigh. About 70 members attended the function.

President Tak Leung addressed the AGM thanking support from the members and the Association has done well last year to support practising of Guolin Qigong. As he is the Founding President and has been President for 3 years, he considered it is appropriate time for him to step down with a new President to succeed in leading the Association into the future. Tak Leung will remain as a Honorary President and Committee Member of the Association

Newly elected President Lewis Ho briefed about the plan for next year with two movements - a movement to recruit more volunteers to help the Association, and a movement to raise funding towards training of qigong instructors and assistants. Xianyi Wu and Dexian Ma were named as Honorary Medical Advisor of our Association extended for another 3 years.

During the AGM lunch was the "3 Perfect Birthday Party' where we celebrated those members who had fought against cancer for 3 years or more. A Birthday Cake Cutting Ceremony was held the old and new Presidents and 9 of these "3 Perfect" members, they were also awarded a special souvenir gift. The celebration was followed by a lucky prize draw. As members and guests were keen to support the announced fund raising, more than $1,000 was raised towards training on the day.
